Spartan Race is Back!

It's been a long time coming with the interruptions from the last few years, but Spartan Australia & NZ made a return to its signature venue, the beautiful town of Bright, home to Mystic Mountain this month.

The 2022 Spartan Bright Ultra Weekend was the companies first post COVID event unaffected by border closures. The event spanned three days and six events, with everything from a night trail, three superb obstacle course races, a 4 hour military style team building exercise and a kids obstacle course race, all kicked off with a welcome event at the much loved Bright Brewery.

The Bright event proved to be hugely successful, drawing over 5,000 racers and attracting significant visitation and millions of dollars of economic impact to the region.

Overwhelmingly positive feedback from the Spartan community was how incredibly tough the courses were, the hardest they've attempted for each distance at Bright - but in a good way!  The challenge was accepted by everyone that stepped up to the start line, and acknowledged by everyone that crossed that finish line, that they had well and truly earned those finisher medals.

Being the first big race back post covid, the vibe in the festival area was electric all day, with DJ Lee pumping the tunes, the vendors and sponsors providing excellent products for consumption and the community revelling in being reunited once again, getting back to what Spartans love to do the most.  With around 5,000 competitors and spectators coming through the event site over the weekend, Spartan Bright 2022 will certainly be an event that will go down in the history books.
